Battlefield setup
What is the area size i need for my venue?
Size matters, but visibility and accessability are important as well. The are 3 important factors to take into consideration when selecting your battlefield:
- A place to Play
- for 36 gamers, the minimum size is 400 m²
- for 24 gamers, the minimum surface is 300 m²
- for 12 gamers, the minimum play area is 200 m²
- A place to Park
- Accesibility is key. Consider a battlefield that is adjacent to other activities, or part of a multi-activity venue
- May players will arrive by car. Make sure they have somewhere they can park it. Accessibility by public transport is also an important factor to take into account.
- A place to Pee
- In addition to your game area you will need some logistics as well. A waiting room, a bar, perhaps a registration desk... Don't forget all this takes up place as well.
How many guns do I need?
The number of guns you need for your Battlefield live business varies greatly depending on the audience you wish to serve, the place you want to play (indoor, outdoor, mobile, rental...) and the theme and games you want to offer to your customers, as well as their age.
We recommend you contact us to discuss the specifics, but here are some rules of thumb:

We recommend you contact us to discuss the specifics, but here are some rules of thumb:
In general
- You will need a way to control the games. Consider using a master controller for mobile use, or SATRWare for indoor use.
- For large playing fields, you should add a radio repeater
- Don't forget battle boxes. The exact number of boxes depends on the Games you want to play.
Weapons:
- For mobile operations, we recommend having 12 guns as a minimum
- While playing indoors, 24 guns are a good starting point
- Playing outdoors? Consider having 48 guns in your arsenal.
Spares
- Battlefield Sports equipment is very robust. Some battlefield have been in operation for over a decade, a testament to the build quality of the devices. However, accidents will happen. A head sensor may become damnaged, someone might tripp over a battle box... As such we recommend always having 10% spare devices with you.
How many obstacles or inflatables do I need?
On your battlefield, you should have at least one obstacle per player. For a fully mobile business inflatables can provide all the cover the players need, in a matter of minutes. But inflatables have their benefits for other locations as well. They can add to the available cover, and are also important for replay value as moving a couple of walls around can completely alter the look and feel of your battlefield. And - you can take them with you on demo's, showcases and other temporal venues that will drive more visitors to your location.
For 12 gamers:
For 24 gamers
For 12 gamers:

Live gaming & gameplay
Can players cheat during live gaming?
It is impossible for gamers to cheat during Live Gaming using Battlefield Sports' equipment.
All unites (guns, battle boxes, master controllers & other items on the battlefield) are all running the built-in SATR (Short for Small Arms Transmitter / Receiver.) firmware.
This means every unit plays its part in the scoring, and other safeguards against cheating are built-in als well. For instance, if a player is disabled, they are unable to shoot with their gun. So - no discussions afterwards.
I addition, only the operators have access to the keys that are needed to start or reboot the weapons, and players can be locked out of the user interface so they are unable to change system settngs themselves.
